I watched the series TV program on Netflix and it inexplicably ended. I was upset at I like all my programs and books or movies to end with a tied up bow and not leave me hanging in mid air, so I went on line and purchased the entire series of books and I find the books are really better than the TV series anyway. I recommend this whole series on Cedar Cove if you like a clean story that is not riddled with sexual descriptions. I personally do not like to read or see in depth sexual scenes. I prefer a clean story and this delivers. The characters were likable but the stories dragged on. I have never read a book, let alone a series, in which people made, drank and loved so many cups of coffee. Between writing about the mundane, and having so many different characters with story lines, the author did not develop the characters well. Far too much was written in narrative form. The most excruciating aspect of this series were the lengthy narratives reiterating what happened in the previous books. The author cared more about not keeping a new reader in the dark who popped into the series midway, than she did about creating a good read for those who were reading each book. I FOUND MYSELF SKIPPING THROUGH COUNTLESS PAGES OF NARRATIVES THAT SUMMARIZED THE PAST. My advice: Choose another series!!
